Dumelang Batlokoa!

December 30, 2021 saw the birth of a brand new family

On this special day, Chief Thato Khauoe from Bataung family tied the knot with Princess Alungile Tantsi from Faku family in Ntabankulu.

This traditional event was blessed by Reverend Buso from the Uniting Presbyterian Church of Southern Africa.

This couple is already blessed with three beautiful young girls, the two eldest being the twins, and the trio will surprise you with the ability to speak more than two languages almost fluently.

The chief’s seat is at Khauoe Administrative Area at Matatiele part of the formerly known Maluti region in those days. This community is looking forward to a happy relationship with their new mother who will lead and feed them as well.

Batlokoa - History

Batlokoa are also known as baThlokoa or Badogwa refering to several Kgatla communities that are found in Botswana, Lesotho and South Africa, comprising both the followings of Tlokoa kings and more particularly members of clans identified as Tlokoa, or individuals who identify themselves as of Tlokoa descent. A majority of the Batlokoa clans trace their royal lineages to Kgwadi son of King Tabane, who is the father and founder of the Batlokoa nation, and have the Tlokwe-cat as their original totem which has since become extinct due to over-hunting for its fur which was used by Kings... It was a memorable occasion where DR R.T. Machaea was capped with Master of Theology degree and his wife Mrs F.F. Machaea was capped with Ph.D Leadership & Governance.

Batlokoa re-union

Batlokoa will be embarking on an international event on the 23rd October 2021, if Covid-9 restrictions will have been revised and allowing. On this event, you will find Batlokoa coming from South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, South West Africa, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, etc. The core of this event is for Batlokoa to know each other. Batlokoa nation does not have a king in South Africa, gatherings of this nature will assist in enthroning such a king in the nearest future.

Where do we come from?

Right towards the tail, extreme bottom of Batlokoa history, we are tracing Machaea immediate ancestors who lived at Moriting Admin area from Ntatemoholo Matakase who gave birth to Ntatemoholo Ratsebe, who gave birth to Ntatemoholo Machaea the father to bontatemoholo Soloane, Machaea, Lesenya, Matsau, Tsoho and Leteba. Machaea gave birth to Ntatemoholo Sesei who’s home is the picture above here at Moriting Admin Area. Siblings of Ntatemoholo Sesei are boNtatemoholo Molala, Kgotso, Au and Qakapa.
